About Us

BlindSpot Mirrors is a business formed by Deborah Childress to bridge her sculpture with functional craftsmanship. Her mirrors are sold through home design stores, and through designers and architects.

BlindSpot Mirror’s minutely detailed frames are created entirely by hand using botanical or abstract themes in contemporary, transitional or traditional styles. Frames are individually cast using fiber-reinforced gypsum cement providing a structurally strong, relatively light mirror. Each frame is hand detailed and finished with four to six layers of metallic pigment.
